January 24 at 2:30 in the Moss Theater of the New Roads School in Santa Monica, Orchestra Santa Monica will play an all-Mozart program and will feature the clarinet concerto with Gary Bovier, clarinet. Dr. Allan Gross, conductor.

On Friday February 5, the FluteSonic Chamber Orchestra featuring David Shostac will perform at the Rolling Hills Methodist Church in Palos Verdes at 7:30.

February 20 and 21, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra will perform at Alex Theater (Feb. 20, 8:00 pm) and Royce Hall (Feb. 21 7:00 pm). Faure Pavane, Schoenberg Chamber Symphony, Ravel Mother Goose Suite and Beethoven Symphony #8 in F Major. Conducted by Mathias Pintscher.

Feb. 28 at 7:30 at CSUN Cypress Recital Hall, TEMPO contemporary music group will perform. Program will include “Hibakusha” for solo flute, by Aaron Alon.

March 19 (Alex) and 20 (Royce), Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) concert. Featured is Gernot Wolfgang Concertante for Four Winds ( Shostac flute, Vogel oboe, Todd horn, and Munday bassoon); Mozart Clarinet Concerto (Joshua Ranz, clarinet); Mozart Piano Concerto #20 in D minor K466 (Kahane, piano and conductor).

7:00 at Zipper Auditorium (the Coburn School) Baroque Conversations led by Alan Vogel, with David Shostac, Margaret Batjer and others in Bach Brandenburg Concerto No. 2. will also feature the fabulous trumpet of David Washburn

Flute Sonics will present a concert March 27, details to follow.

Los Angeles Jewish Symphony will record Andrea Clearfield’s “Women of Valor” in April, at Soka University. Noreen Green, conductor

April 16 and 17, LACO will perform Prokofiev Classical Symphony, Bates Cello Concerto (Joshua Roman), and Haydn Symphony 101 in D major “The Clock”, led by conductor Matthew Halls.

LACO will perform again May 14 and 15, conducted by Jeffrey Kahane; a commissioned work by Matthew Aucoin; Mozart Piano Concerto No. 17 in G major K453, Marc-Andre Hamelin, piano; Schumann Symphony No. 2 in C major.

Orchestra Santa Monica (OSM) will perform at 2:30 Moss Theater at New Roads School: Faure Masques et Bergamesques; SaintSaens piano concerto (Steven Vanhanweit, piano; Beethoven Symphony No. 2. Conducted by Dr. Allan Gross.

June 4, LACO will accompany a classic silent film, details to follow.

Friday June 24 at Sherman Gardens in Corona del Mar, baroque festival concert led by Elizabeth Blumenstock, featuring David Shostac, flute; Gabriel Arregui, harpsichord; Timothy Landauer, cello. 7:30 pm.
